Chili Con Carne Recipe

Saucy and Spicy! If you want a gluten-free classic Chili Con Carne recipe to satisfy your craving, then is the one you are looking for. I kid you not; it is the best ever!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, buffalo, chicken, pork, sausage, turkey, venison or other ground meat)
- 1 large onion, chopped; reserve 1/2 for garnish
- 1 large bell pepper, diced
- 2 button mushrooms, minced
- 1 tablespoon gluten-free chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried Mexican oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry red wine
- 1 tablespoon gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Tabasco™ Green Pepper Sauce
- 4 ounces canned diced green chiles
- 1 cup gluten-free ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 15 ounce canned kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Instructions:
1. In a Dutch oven over medium high heat, brown ground meat, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms, about 10 minutes.
2. Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, basil, oregano and black pepper, and cook for 1 minute to bloom seasonings.
3. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4. Stir in red wine and Worcestershire sauce, and cook for 1 minute, scraping fond from bottom of pot.
5. Stir in Tabasco™ Green Sauce, green chiles, ketchup, water and kidney beans, and simmer until heated through.
6. To serve, spoon Chili Con Carne into soup bowls.
7. Garnish with grated cheese and reserved chopped onion.
